My Two Little Cousins

My two little cousins

This is one of my favorite picture of all times. It was taken sometime before in before new year, but not quite sure when was it exactly.

I recalled that this is one of my big family holiday where almost all my cousins gathered in one of my family beachside villa, and do nothing for days but chatting, eating and playing.

In of these days I was assigned to watch my lil cousins who were up for swimming. Expecting my self to be half bored, I grabbed my pocket camera, sat on the pool side, and start capturing the moment while watching about a dozen ( yes a dozen) of my lil cousins enjoying splashing the water around.

This is one of it, in it, one of the older cousin, holding my younger cousins while she splashed the water around. With the sun shine harsh and bright, I use high speed, which in effect froze the water particles and the joy it brought into eternity.

Tree in The Field

Lonely Tree in the field over the Toowomba Ranch, Queensland

It was either 2006 or 2007. I was traveling a lot for field work during my masters degree. One of it was to Toowomba, a smallish town at South East Queensland. It was a kind of town that surrounded by farms. And it was in one these farm I took this picture. It was mid afternoon, so the light supposedly harsh by Jakarta standard. But Austalia is picture friendly country, the light is always soft  and the sky is always bright with occasionally bold clouds painted the corner.

It was seldom smoggy, nor crushing bright, so taking a good picture there is relatively a painless exercise.

Lazy Sunday on the London Boulevard

Lazy London Brunches

I took this picture sometimes in mid 2008. I was assigned for training camp in London for a month, and in one of the Sunday me and my friends were going out strolling the London sidewalk. As time for lunch arrived, we got separated (after all its near impossible to find a restaurant who can host 16 people unplanned), me and several others went for Chinese restaurant and after quick meal, I get out to visit the others. It was then I spotted several of them sitting near this pub window, and instinctively, I took out my pocket and shoot this picture.

A year passed, and I almost forgot about this picture, till I browsed back my archive looking for a nice pic to decorate my new apartment, and I was struck.

This picture might not be greatly composed, but each time I look at it, it makes me smile I as my memory jogged down the lane. Now looking at it again and again, I realized it wasn’t such a bad picture, in fact I love it that its candidness captures the plight of joy that they were having.

My First Ever Seiko 5 Automatic Watch

My First Automatic Watches

This watch is my first Seiko, and I love it so much. I got this one in Singapore for about S$100, and its a money well spent. Been using it ever since for work, and its beautifully matched to be wear with any dress shirt and suit.

The (Close to Perfect) Dress Drown Friday Shoes

My Favorite Semi Casual Shoes

Got it two years ago, at Linea. Been looking for something casual for jeans and grey trousers. And found this beautiful wingtip oxford, formidable for casual, but still suffice for office. I restrained my self from regularly polishing the shoes, as I love the worn out and chaffed that it gets from the wearing.
